Tradition on the tee

Those who come here do so regularly.
Not for attention, but for the round itself.

The Society —

A private club for those who measure a round not in scores, but in afternoons well spent.

Founded in 1997 on a quiet stretch of coastal links, Greensward has always kept its numbers small and its greens immaculate. Membership is by introduction, the pace is unhurried, and the clubhouse asks only that you leave your phone in the locker.

Eighteen holes of old-world character, a caddie who remembers your name, and a long table by the fire when the light goes. This is golf the way it was meant to be played.

The Course

18 holes · Coastal links · Par 72
The Greensward links

Laid out along the dunes, the links reward the patient and punish the proud. Firm fairways run fast to greens the colour of deep emerald, framed by pine and gorse.

Society life

Beyond the round —
  1. 01

    The long table

Lunch is served at one long oak table. You sit where there's room, beside whoever happens to be there.

  2. 02

    Fireside winters

When the light goes early, the clubhouse keeps a fire lit and a decent cellar open until the last player is in.

  3. 03

    The spring meet

Our one tournament of the year. Modest stakes, immodest lunch, and a trophy nobody quite remembers winning.

  4. 04

    Caddie & course

A caddie who remembers your name, knows the greens by heart, and which way the wind is really blowing.
